South Lakes

We cover the whole of the South Lakes area, and specialise with travel from Kendal, Windermere, Bowness, Ambleside, Kirkby Lonsdale, Sedbergh, Grange over Sands, Arnside, Silverdale, Backbarrow, Milnthorpe, Burton in Kendal, Rydal, Underbarrow, Crossthwaite, Lyth Valley, Crooklands, Coniston, Natland, Levens, Grasmere, Endmoor, Cartmel, Lindale, Holme, Beetham, New Hutton, Old Hutton, Staveley, Bowston, Burneside, Newby Bridge, Troutbeck Bridge, Hawkshead, Flookburgh, Dent, Greyrigg, Allithwaite, Sedgwick, Greenodd, Selside, Stainton, Garth Row, Heversham, Warton, and Ulverston to both Manchester and Liverpool Airports and Liverpool Cruise Terminal.

We also travel to Newcastle, Leeds Bradford and the Scottish Airports and Newcastle Docks.

Transfers to and from the London Airports and Southampton Docks are also available.

Tourist infomation

The South Lakes cover the well know villages of Windermere, Ambleside and Grasmere along side the towns of Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale. 

Kendal is host to castles, museums and historic bridges. It is the largest town in the South Lakes area and there is a train station in the town centre itself. There are walks from the centre of the town or starting in the villages and hills in the surrounding area. There is also a direct train link to Windermere.

Kirkby Lonsdale was recently transformed into the setting for the BBC drama Jamacia Inn.  With lovely riverside walks and a church dating back to the Norman era it is a lovely place to visit.  With coffee shops, restaurants and shops for all tastes.

Grange Over Sands is situated on the shores of Morecambe Bay.  With a typical Edwardian seaside town feel, there are plenty of shops and eateries.  There is a promenade which offer walking alongside the gardens and the estuary.

Hawkshead is a  pretty village which offers an array of tea rooms, gift shops and guest houses.  It is possible to walk directly from the village into the surrounding countryside and access to Grisdale Forest with the walking routes, mountain bike trails and visitor centre is easiliy accessable.
